Review & Alternatives: Best Free BitTorrent Client

Pros & Cons:

Cross platforms, efficient and stable with excellent speeds, simple interface and clean install.
Missing some advanced features, third-party add-ons available but not officially supported.

Our Review:

Transmission is a basic cross-platform BitTorrent client for Windows, Linux and Mac OS. It runs fast, has a simple interface and uses fewer resources than other clients.

The download file for the Windows version contains a Transmission-Qt client, which is a native GUI application with local and remote access support. It also includes optional Daemon, command-line tools and Web interface that you can enable during install.

Transmission is efficient and stable with excellent speeds. Alternative speed limits for download and upload can be customized by users manually or at scheduled times.

Despite missing some advanced features, the clean install and basic interface will appeal to those who just want to download torrents and do not need any bells and whistles.

Third-party add-ons are available but they are not officially supported by the developer.

So many things already old in this review. Transmission-qt is found on the official page. RAM and -CPUwise is better than the other more popular. Diskwise is 26M, qbt is same and Tixati surpasses 50M easily, Last one is true though: I do not need the bells and whistles.A breeze to use and a beauty to behold.
